STAARMUC

emergency and disaster management

A Word from the President

Prof sama hamzaIt is with immense joy that I announce the launch of the official website for the Togolese Society of Analgesia, Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Emergency and Disaster Medicine (STAARMUC).

This achievement is the result of the remarkable work accomplished by all the predecessors to whom I pay tribute for their essential contribution to the creation of STAARMUC.

I would also like to commend the commitment and professionalism of all the members of our society, and especially those of the Executive Board, whose dedication and dynamism have allowed STAARMUC to rise to the rank of the most prestigious academic societies in our country.

Anesthesia and Resuscitation is a field in constant evolution, one that fully leverages modern technological advancements. It therefore requires adaptation, continuous renewal, and the updating of skills to ensure the optimal safety of the patients entrusted to our care. In this context, continuing education becomes an absolute necessity with the essential objective of providing training adapted to our healthcare system.

I am convinced that together, and thanks to these new communication tools, we can meet these challenges and make STAARMUC an indispensable reference in our field of activity.

The study of these systems reveals a constant tension between two fundamental imperatives: early medicalization and speed of transport. This results in an observation of organizational richness and complexity, where each model attempts to provide the most appropriate response to its specific health and geographical realities.
